Mountain View California Real Estate
Mountain View California: Ideally situated in the heart
of Silicon Valley, Mountain View is home to some 70,708 residents and
to many nationally and internationally known corporations. Mountain
View covers 12 square miles and is blessed with a moderate climate.
Daytime temperature range from the fifties and sixties in winter and
the seventies and eighties in summer. It is a dry climate, and even
during the hottest periods of summer the evenings are almost always
cooler because of the breeze from the San Francisco Bay.
Not too long ago, Mountain View was covered with orchards and vineyards,
but
the population exploded after World War II, The City's population, fueled
by the growth of the electronic and aerospace industries. Today, Mountain
View is a modern, high-tech city, but it still enjoys the comfortable feel
of a small town, with lots of parks and community activities. Not only is
the city laced with smaller community parks, but they also converted a former
landfill site at the edge of the bay into a beautiful, regional park
complete with an 18-hole golf course, bicycle and walking paths, a lake
with boating facilities, a wild life interpretive trail, and an outdoor
amphitheater.
Downtown Mountain View includes many fine eating establishments, a
modern
new City Hall, and the Mountain View center for the Performing Arts.
